Summertime!


What better way to spend a summer vacation than on the lake with friends and family?  Enjoy fishing, campfires, a volleyball game, horseshoe throwing, and abundant wildlife in a quiet part of the glorious north woods.

Butternut Lake is a 5-mile long lake with a maximum depth of approximately 32 feet.   It's highly prized for holding great quantities of fish such as walleye and musky.  

Our dock at Butternut Lake Lodge can accommodate up to 4 large boats.  We provide canoes and kayaks for our guests.  If you would like to rent a boat or other watercraft, we have put together a list of local rental opportunities.

The hardest part of your vacation will be choosing how you're going to spend the day!  Will it be ATVing on the trail system?  Fishing on Butternut Lake?  A kayak adventure?  A spirited volleyball game?  Lounging on the Boathouse deck?  Taking a nap in the hammock?  Doing some shopping during the day?  Grilling your fresh catch?  Or all of the above?
